I am Michael Leventhal, a very amateur politico.

I want to bridge the yawning gap between the perception of Joe Biden as president and the impressive job he has done under very challenging political circumstances.

Voters (and potential voters) need to see what he has actually accomplished in his three years as president.

Democracy is on the ballot in 2024.

My mission:

Joe Biden wasn’t my first choice, but he has been one of the most positively consequential presidents in recent history.

Sadly, some people seem to be unaware of the things he has done.

My intent is to highlight his accomplishments here.

Biden’s mission:

Biden’s position is that democracy works.

In the current poisonous political environment of “the government is the problem,” the challenges to the theory and practice of democracy throughout the world, and the attempts by the GOP to limit access to the voting booth, democracy as a concept is under attack.

Putin, Xi, Viktor Orban (Hungary), Javier Milei in Argentina, and many more are making the argument that democracy is too messy, too inefficient to get things done.

Biden’s central mission is to show that, not only can democracy work to make the people’s lives better, it is the best way to do so. His entire presidency is a defense of democratic ideals.

Everything he does is in service to this thesis.

And I’m here to spread the word.
